The top seed in the Hockey East tournament, No. 10 UConn (23-7-5, 19-4-4 Hockey East) is one game away from reaching the conference championship game for the third time in the last five years. The Huskies reached in 2020 and 2022, losing to Northeastern both times. They could face Northeastern again - those Huskies take on UNH in the other semifinal - but first these Huskies have to get past fourth-seed Boston College (15-13-7, 13-9-5 Hockey East) in their semifinal matchup on Wednesday night at Toscano Family Ice Forum in Storrs. This is a rematch of a quarterfinals game last year, when fourth-seed Boston College knocked off fifth-seed UConn 4-3 in overtime.

In the tournament, Boston College started in the quarterfinals by beating Providence College 2-1 on Friday. BC allowed the first goal late in the second period, then scored with five minutes to go to force overtime, before Sammy Taber delivered the game-winner late in the first overtime period.
